About Our Handmade Candles
Each of our candles is hand-poured with care using natural soy wax. This artisanal process means every candle is unique.
- Natural Variations: Because they are handmade, you may notice slight variations in weight, minor surface scratches, or small bubbles. These are normal characteristics of a hand-poured product and do not affect its quality or use.
- Soy Wax Properties: Soy wax is sensitive to temperature. In colder weather, it may become harder, and small wax fragments may occur during shipping. This is completely normal and will not impact the candle’s performance.
Please consider these natural characteristics before purchasing. They are a signature of our small-batch, handmade quality.
How to Use for Wax Play: A Step-by-Step Guide
- Prepare Your Space & Light the Candle: Light the candle and allow it to burn for 10-15 minutes, or until a pool of melted wax forms. This is all the time needed for the wax to reach the perfect, skin-safe temperature.
- Perform a Temperature Test: Before applying to your partner, always test the temperature yourself.
- Drip a few drops of wax onto the inside of your own forearm to gauge the heat.
- Adjusting Temperature: The perceived temperature changes with height. For a warmer sensation, drip from a closer distance. For a cooler sensation, drip from a higher distance (we recommend starting about 30cm or 12 inches away from the skin).
- Application & Sensation
- Sensitive Areas: Begin with less sensitive areas before moving to more sensitive zones. Areas like the back, chest, stomach, inner arms, inner thighs, and toes can be particularly responsive.
- Safety First: For optimal temperature control, drip the wax shortly after it melts. Allowing a large pool of wax to remain heated for an extended period can cause it to become hotter.
- Cleanup: The low-temperature wax is designed to solidify on the skin and can typically be peeled off easily once cooled.
⚠️ Important Safety Warnings
Your safety is our top priority. Please adhere to the following precautions at all times.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep burning candles away from flammable materials, drafts, children, and pets.
- Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The container will become hot during use.
- For External Use Only. Do not allow the wax to come into contact with eyes. Do not use inside the vagina, anus, or any other orifice. In case of misuse, seek medical attention.
- Discontinue use immediately if any skin irritation occurs.
- Ensure the flame is completely extinguished before storing the candle, leaving the room, or going to sleep.
General Candle Care
Proper care will extend the life and quality of your candle.
- Storage: Store your candle in a cool, dark, and dry place. Direct sunlight or high heat can cause the wax to melt or “sweat,” which can affect its scent and performance.
- The First Burn is Key: To prevent “tunneling” (when the candle burns only down the center), allow the candle to burn for the first time until the entire surface has melted into an even pool. This creates a “burn memory” for future use.
- Wick Maintenance: Before each use, trim the wick to a length of 5−8mm (about 1/4 inch). A trimmed wick ensures a clean, even burn and prevents black smoke and soot.
- How to Extinguish: Never blow out your candle. This can create soot and a smoky smell. Instead, use a candle snuffer or a wick dipper to gently dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it again.
- When to Stop Use: Discontinue use when less than 2cm (about 3/4 inch) of wax remains in the container. Burning a candle to the very bottom can cause the container to overheat and potentially crack.
